Hindsight Labs has launched ChompStack (http://www.chompstack.com), a service that allows restaurants to build their own custom branded iPhone apps.
ChompStack is designed to make it as easy as possible for restaurants to build their own iPhone apps. It allows restaurant owners to upload their menu items, locations, and promotions to be programmed into the app. Once the information is uploaded, ChompStack takes care of the entire process of customizing the application and submitting it to the App Store.
Once the app is live, ChompStack offers restaurant owners the opportunity to keep in touch with their customers, notifying them of new promotions, events, and discounts through a web based control panel. The control panel also allows restaurants to update their menus in real-time to promote their daily specials.
Customers who download a restaurant's iPhone app can use it to browse the menu, search for the nearest location, and look up recent promotions. They can also use the app to directly send feedback to the restaurant. Restaurants can take advantage of this dialogue to help build brand awareness and customer loyalty.
