Jamba Juice® Expands Presence into Twenty-Sixth State with Store Opening in Kentucky

  • Jamba With the goal of bringing a healthy, active lifestyle brand to fans in their community, local entrepreneurs, Emmy & Don Marquess and Mary & John Speaker, principals of The Speaquess Group LLC, will celebrate the opening of their first Jamba Juice store in Lexington, Kentucky, officially launching Jamba into the Company’s twenty-sixth state and giving the brand store presence in over half the U.S.

This store represents the first of seven Jamba stores he and his partners at the Speaquess Group plan to open over the next six years.”

    Jamba Juice has been inspiring and simplifying healthy living since it opened its first California store in 1990. Jamba offers a portfolio of on-the-go, better-for-you menu offerings that are made from quality ingredients, taste great, and contain 0g trans fat, no high fructose corn syrup, no artificial flavors, and no artificial preservatives.

    “We are excited to bring Jamba Juice, a brand associated with the a ‘healthy, active lifestyle’ to fans here in Lexington,” said Don and Emmy Marquess, owner/operators of Jamba Juice in Lexington, Kentucky. “We started the blenders whirling officially today and now local fans and visitors are able to enjoy one of our more than 30 made-to-order whole fruit smoothies, including Jamba’s latest innovation in their smoothie line-up—the Fit’n Fruitful™ with Weight Burner Boost™ smoothie in three flavors, which can serve as a meal substitute or support weight management goals while providing balanced nutrition for busy consumers on-the-go.”

    The Lexington Jamba Juice store will also serve fresh squeezed orange and carrot juices, wheatgrass, hot blended beverages, Jamba’s delicious slow-cooked oatmeal made with organic steel cut oats, and a variety of tasty baked goods and snacks which go great as a snack between meals especially when paired with a Jamba beverage.

    The store will be open Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. to enable fans coming or going a convenient option to pick up a nutritious and delicious menu offering. Students on campus at the University of Kentucky (UK) will also be able to use their UK Plus Accounts at the store.

    This is the first Jamba Juice store for local Lexington entrepreneurs and franchisees, Emmy & Don Marquess and Mary & John Speaker. The team plans to open a second store at the Fayette Mall in the spring and has plans to open a minimum of seven Jamba Juice stores not only in Kentucky, but also Southern Indiana and Southern Ohio.
