AirPlus International, a global provider of corporate travel payment solutions, releases June’s The Wire…from AirPlus entitled: Social Media Making Inroads for Managing Travel. This month’s survey results were also used in a direct comparison to a similar The Wire…from AirPlus survey conducted a year ago. Overall, a higher percentage of the corporate travel professionals surveyed cited involvement in social media. While LinkedIn users held steady at about 58 percent, Facebook participants increased by almost 25% over last year's numbers. The use of Twitter, which was employed by 15.5 percent of survey respondents last year, doubled in number in this month’s survey.
