WASHINGTON – Sept. 15, 2003 – Starting today, Courtyard by Marriott will offer free high-speed internet access in the guestrooms of more than 330 hotels throughout North America. By year-end 2003, installation of free high-speed internet access will be completed at an additional 225 Courtyard hotels.
As announced on July 29, Marriott’s other select-service and extended-stay brands will also begin offering free in-room high speed internet access by year-end 2003, including Residence Inn, TownePlace Suites and SpringHill Suites. Fairfield Inn will provide free in-room high-speed internet access at over 500 hotels by year end 2004. In total, more than 1,700 select service and extended stay Marriott properties will offer free in-room high-speed internet access.
The Marriott and Renaissance brands will continue to provide the popular “Wired-for-Business” package to meet the needs of full-service hotel customers for total connectivity. “Wired-for-Business” combines unlimited local and long distance phone calls within the U.S. with in-room high-speed internet access for $9.95 per day.
